Valentine's day cards for your love!

Valentine's day is just around the corner, so in this post I share two cards I had made for Valentine's day few years back. Think it is something super cute and can be made for valentine's day, a birthday, or an anniversary as well!

Card no. 1

For this card, I used a base of a cute pink postcard I had lying around. I think it was from some valentine collection that I owned. Then I added a doily, die cut flowers, a die cut heart, and some washi tape. I then added a pair of cute printed chipboard birds from my Dearlizzydaydreamer collection and some bling to finish it off.

Card no. 2

For this card, I used an embossed cardstock as base. Then, I used some butterfly die cuts, one of which I embellished with gold foil, and added a title.

Think it looks simple, but is a super cute gift!

Hope you take some inspiration from these and make something for your loved one!

"10 Highlights" mini album

Hi friends,

With Valentine's day just about a month away, today I share a mini album I had made for my valentine last year! It could also be a perfect anniversary or a wedding gift for a couple.

So, the concept of the mini album was 10 highlights of our relationship, or the 10 things we love doing together. I also added 10 photos I love of us along with it! Since it was a Valentine gift, I wanted to use pink for the cover. To embellish the cover, used some jillibean soup alphabets, lace, and a charm. :) The inside pages have cute little tabs as well.

Unfortunately, I do not have more pictures of the inside.

Hubby loved it. Hope you do too, and get inspired to make something for your valentine!

Love,
Divya

Feminine cards for Birthdays/Anniversaries!

In this blog post, I share two colorful cards I had made:

Card no. 1

This one is inspired by a purse. Added some jeweled scrapbook paper, lace, a die cut flower, and beads to embellish it.

Card no. 2

In this one, I added an embossed background that I fuzzy cut. On top of that I glued this cute printed chipboard girl with flowers I had from the dearlizzydaydreamer collection. Then, I added some felt flowers, die cut branches, and gems to embellish.

Recipe Book Binder

In this blog post, I share a recipe book binder I had made some time back. This can be a perfect gift for someone who loves cooking, and a great way to organize all the recipes collected through the years!

(P.S. - This is a picture heavy post!)

Here is the front of the binder. I titled the book as "Mummy ka magic" meaning Mom's magical cooking since I was gifting it to my mom to store all her amazing recipes. I used scrapbook paper to cover the front, back and the spine. I used chalkboard labels for the front, some washi tape, lace, chipboard cutlery, and simple embellishments.

Masculine cards - perfect for the men in your life!

In this post, I share some fun masculine cards, that are super easy to make, and look adorable, and use up lots of scraps from your stash. Don't you just love that? So, for these cards, I used up left over papers from my previous projects. Frankly, I am not even sure which paper lines they were from!

Card no. 1

I divided the first card into two segments and used two contrasting colors for the same. Distressed the papers, and in between added a tag. Found a picture of a dilapidated car online, and thought it was just the perfect subject for my card. I then embossed some black bazzil cardstock for the background. Then, added the car on top of it. Used some die cuts, stickers, and washi tape as embellishments.

Feminine cards - for Anniversaries or Birthdays

Folks, here are some cards I had made while experimenting with water color and acrylic backgrounds. Don't you just love those? They give you the effect that you want and never fail to impress.

Card no. 1

With the background all set, I added distressed gorgeous Kaiser flowers, some die cut embellishments, with some lace from my stash. (By now, you get I love floral!) Also added the beautiful typewriter chipboard from the gorgeous Dearlizzydaydreamer collection. Added a small distressed hand written note to the typewriter, and that was it!

I have also entered this card in the Crazy 4 Challenges C4C316:

Card no. 2

Made the background exactly like in card no. 1 except using different colors this time. Somehow loved the contrast of black with the reds and oranges, so went on to make a complimenting tag with similar colours, and add it for some depth and layering. Then added some die cut embellishments along with pretty black Kaiser flowers and some trims, and that was it!

Hope you like these, and get some inspiration to do something crafty!
