Cinderella Pop-up card!

Yes, I said it - I am officially obsessed with pop-up cards. Anything that looks out of the ordinary greeting cards catches my eye. I wanted to create a girlie pop-up card, to go down the memory lane of my own childhood. I know I would have loved this card growing up. I loved fairy tales, spinning stories, and everything to do with fairyland.

My mom says that as a kid I would spin stories and get my brother in trouble, and would talk for hours about all things that happened at school. Once a chatter box, always a chatter box! :)

So, here I made a Cinderella-inspired Pop-up card. I thought of everything that reminds me of the whimsical Cinderella fairy tale - the pumpkin carriage, the glittery glass slipper, the fairy godmother, a starry night, and lots of magic.

"10 Highlights" mini album

Hi friends,

With Valentine's day just about a month away, today I share a mini album I had made for my valentine last year! It could also be a perfect anniversary or a wedding gift for a couple.

So, the concept of the mini album was 10 highlights of our relationship, or the 10 things we love doing together. I also added 10 photos I love of us along with it! Since it was a Valentine gift, I wanted to use pink for the cover. To embellish the cover, used some jillibean soup alphabets, lace, and a charm. :) The inside pages have cute little tabs as well.

Unfortunately, I do not have more pictures of the inside.

Hubby loved it. Hope you do too, and get inspired to make something for your valentine!

Love,
Divya

Picture Film Reels!

I had these picture wheel dies by Tim Holtz, and had been thinking of what to do with those when I saw this cute cute snow fun film album by Sizzix. I was inspired to make something like that, and here is what I did with it.!

(P.S. - This post is picture heavy!)

Picture wheel no. 1

I wanted to make something for a cute tiny tot who was turning two. So, I took blue as the theme. Added a filmstrip with images of him growing up, and then decorated with some flowers, jute string, burlap, ribbon, lace, and a cute big baby pin.

Feminine cards for Birthdays/Anniversaries!

In this blog post, I share two colorful cards I had made:

Card no. 1

This one is inspired by a purse. Added some jeweled scrapbook paper, lace, a die cut flower, and beads to embellish it.

Card no. 2

In this one, I added an embossed background that I fuzzy cut. On top of that I glued this cute printed chipboard girl with flowers I had from the dearlizzydaydreamer collection. Then, I added some felt flowers, die cut branches, and gems to embellish.

Birthday/Anniversary "Tailored" cards

Folks, so in this post I share two cards I had made for a birthday and an anniversary.

Card no. 1

So, for the first card, I used some scrap paper for my stash to make a background. Also added some die cut embellishments to the background, along with scraps from Websters pages. I added some lace to get some more layers.

Elegant fashionista card!

Hello folks,

Here is a pretty fashionista card I had made a few years back.
